Sadly, a lot of overseas accommodations aren’t always (suitably) equipped to cater for the needs of disabled Travellers, for example: sometimes the natural terrain & the layout of resorts can make life difficult for people with mobility difficulties.
It’s very important if you have any disability, that you check the suitability of any accommodation or resorts you are interested in, so that you’re completely satisfied you’ve made the right choice before you confirm your booking reservation.
Anyone on your booking who requires specific accommodation arrangements relating to a disability, should contact the Accommodation or Resort (either by phone or email) well in advance, prior to your travel to see whether you can request or secure the following requirements:
- Adapted Rooms
- A Ground – Level -Room
- Walk – In – Shower
- Shower instead of Bath Tub
Also discuss the availability of: Elevators or Ramps & whether there is suitable access in & out of Dining or Entertainment areas.
Please Note: If special arrangements need to be made for you, such as an upgraded room type to meet your specific needs/requirements, an extra charge may have to be paid. This may be the case either before you go or when you arrive in resort, so it is advisable to check this before you travel.
